My name is Klaus Söhnel. I proofread web pages, printed matter and student assignments in my native language, which is German.
With over 20 years experience as a proof-reader I am familiar with all the traps of the German language and know how to avoid them. When correcting grammar and spelling, I comply with your preferred German language standards and dictionaries. My default is the current DUDEN.
Working on hardcopies is inefficient, so I proofread directly in your file. But you will still be able to keep track of all the amendments that I suggest. In text files, I activate the track changes function and in PDF files, I make corrections in comment boxes. This way, you can easily copy the corrected passage into your original layout.
My method for editing German web pages allows me to propose spelling, grammar or style corrections in a clearly traceable manner, even without access to the back-end. To open my file all you need is the standard free software Acrobat Reader.
I read everything thoroughly and with the utmost care including: standard text elements, captions, forms and text in graphics, tables or flash movies. I also check your title tags, keywords, descriptions, alternative image names or mouse over texts.
While including misspellings in keyword lists might be an SEO strategy, my service ensures that your text is correct wherever it should be – on your web page and in the search engine results.
